Stuff is picking up here too, places are busy and tons of traffic again. It makes sense, there is so few cases here. Find out in the next week here if some of the opening up causes a spike in cases, I really doubt it with all the pre-cautions that are being taken.

One big change i've made is buying so much more on amazon. If it was the same price as in store i'd always just go grab it, now i'm ordering it instead. It's pretty convenient and after this crap is over I don't know if I will change back.

I'm starting to think along the same lines. I've got better things to do than line up halfway around the block to get into a friggen store.

The rules they have for opening are too all over the place. A lot of golf courses are private so who's going to complain when they're not following the rules? Know a guy that works at a private course and says they are riding 2 in a golf cart when it's supposed to be only 1 and not practicing social distancing on the greens or tee's. He said the course is packed. Yet if a motorsports facility wants to open for practice with limited numbers and no spectators it's considered racing entertainment and not allowed. A comedy club was ordered to close because even at only 25% percent capacity they figured laughing could spread the virus. Nobody ever laughs or does anything inappropriate in a bar or restaurant? It's ridiculous in that regard.

I’ve always gotten a lot online as I have at least a 1/2 hour ride to get to any major big box store, auto parts or equipment dealer. That is a lot of wasted time and money for fuel etc. I really increased what I bought online during this whole mess and have no intention of going back. It is fast enough, easy and likely cheaper with free shipping. Plus no lines and no idiots to deal with.

Ordered Wallymart on Saturday night, standard free shipping, was here Monday at noon. Good thing, I was running low on coffee.

Same here.....use mainly Amazon alot for basic household supplies and repair parts. Got tired of driving to the store in an hour long round trip just to find out something wasn’t in stock. Much easier and cheaper

The regulations are set by countries, counties and states. Here we have phased openings dependent on criteria. Number of current cases is an area, rate of rise in the number of cases, number of deaths, population in an area and other criteria are what is being used to decide commerce and numbers of people in any one place at any one time. The other thought I have is one of enforcement. Washington State was locked down on March 23 but enforcement has only been on those that felt they should thumb their nose at even the suggestion of any kind of restrictions and then go on television interviews for the glory of showing people how smart they are. The truth was that many if not most people just quietly did what they needed or wanted to do and no one really cared. In effect, the quarantine was mostly voluntary!

What I find hilarious is BC residents DO NOT want Albertans in their province. Yet, the fools are over here in Alberta, looking for work.

My car mechanic is across from a public park and he was pointing out that the people that hang out there, have no respect for authority, imbibe in chemical recreation, etc. have made zero changes to their behavior through all these months. And these are not just shuffling bums, they have cars (loud ones) and jobs (some of them) and get around to places and do things.

I don't think they are being counted or even considered in any statistics or studies, they would not want to participate and those from the ivory tower segment don't know how nor want to interact with them.

Yes they are fools and we don"t want them back either bringing more plague with them. Look at the numbers. As of yesterday. Alberta pop.4,468,130 cases 6879. BC pop.5,110.819 cases 2580. Yes we have had about 23 more deaths in BC but we probably have a lot more old people retired here. Please stay on your side of the mountains and keep our fools there too.

I wonder how long it takes to show any symptoms? Some could have it and not show any symptoms but others will show symptoms. I don't know if it takes 2 weeks or 2 month's but I think if there is a spike in new cases within say a month, then the experts recommending social distancing were correct.

The die hard “jUsT sTay aT hOmE” people are actively hoping for a huge wave of deaths from the lifting lockdowns. I’ve seen plenty of posts of “I hope everyone that is out and enjoying themselves dies from the virus”

Misery loves company. I was socially distant long before this lol.

Funny thing is, the level of cleanliness at grocery stores and other businesses is now at a level that it should always have been at IMO.

What really disgusts me is the shortage of soap and sanitizer in stores. Goes to prove people were pigs that never practiced proper hygiene prior to this.

Honestly doesn't suprise me if that's true. I haven't changed my hygiene one bit. Still shower every day, wash my hands after visiting the can, before eating, after being in public etc. Its sad that this is just basic stuff we all should know by 5 years old.

'One simply does not hoard toilet paper just wipe one's own bottom!? Maybe they are wiping several bottom's? Thus logically making the toilet paper hoarder(s) a real butt wipe!' Insert vulgarities as required. It sure is difficult to make a clean joke when using toilet paper as the basis. Hahaha Ok, I will stop with my Dad humor.

I was entertained when I saw the DMV line wrapped around the parking lot this morning. It looked like a line at an amusement park. Which reminds me I need to do my renewal via the mail order this year. I am not afraid of the DMV, I just don't have that kind of time or patience.

I think one of the downfalls of Amazon shopping will be hurting the local businesses. Although I think if it's a big chain it's likely not much different then buying Amazon considering you're still supporting the people at the warehouse and delivering it. It was good timing to finally get a camera for my front door, Amazon has been to my house 6 different times this week already  I don't know why they don't just package the deliveries together, oh well. Not sure how they are making money delivering a $15 item with free shipping though.

That's total cases, not active cases with mean nothing.

People of B.C should be careful with their words, they rely on the other provinces, mainly Alberta coming for tourism dollars. B.C cannot survive without tourism. Never mind all the people from B.C getting their employment in Alberta. But how B.C has a project going that they are only employing B.C residents.....

B.C needs to wake up fast that they better pull their head out of their a$$ and support Alberta, or they will be in for a world of hurt. The current government thinks the province will survive on hopes and wishes not real money. As for right now i'm doing anything and everything I can to keep my money out of B.C, Ontario, and Quebec. I consider supporting them on the same level as the USA or another country. I know I won't be visiting B.C anytime soon either.

In california, this is how we roll.
I'm embarrassed to even admit that I live in this god forsaken state.
Protesters along with other c__k s__k__s are allowed to run this state. The CHP allows these poor entitled potential voters to "play" on the freeway? Wow... a few carefully placed rounds with a long rifle would disburse this croud. Police brutality? Thats what happens when you play on a freeway! I hope it hurt!

I don’t know why people stop for that crap. If someone is on the road they will move eventually when a vehicle comes.

I guess you can’t expect much in commiefornia though.
