I would love to see $140.00 for my cars.I have been hearing the place i sell to thats 30 miles away is going to close. If that happens i will have to go over 70 miles. That doesent sound far but my truck is screaming at 55 and with the hills it takes close to 2 hours to get there but if the price went way up i would scrap some of my trucks and get one thats not as old as i am.I can always dream or i can get by with my stuff sell it all and stop working so many hours.

I have various crane hulks and other heavy chunks laying around the yard . All the light stuff that accumulates i just send out and get nothing for ,just to keep things in order. Hopefully the heavy stuff will bring a buck someday, its the best i have for a pension plan.

Would be nice to find a place that listed scrap prices. One I'm looking at shows 1.45 /lb and I know that's not right. Sold mine this year at 200 a ton

I have been loading my truck with appliances and other scrap as it comes to me and hauling it off no matter what lately because i dont have any more storage room and i dont want to collect more scrap.I had it loaded and hauled it early today 90.00 a ton.I felt good about geting rid of a load but i got a call from some one that just bought a farm so i went and got another load best part was it was about free.

I think it's been pretty flat around here... I keep hoping it'll start to jump but now with the china thing and everything else it's just hard to predict...

I heard it was $90.00 for cars and shred. I have a load ready to go when i have time to haul it. I dread when people call and want me to haul.I have alot going on and there is not much money to be made if you have to by it.

Scrap always used to go up to a decent price in a election year. With less coming from China lets hope they will melt some here again. I got a bunch to clean up but it will last if need be. Mostly heavier stuff.

I went to a farm today it was just sold and the new owner is cleaning it up. I may have not did it but i have got stuff from him before. I thought 1 load would get it but there was 2 1/2 loads then i loaded another load at another place so i hauled 3 loads. It was very muddy then i got to the scrap yard and was told it had drop $30.00 a ton. They said it was going to drop more.

Wow- $30 a ton? It's not worth separating metal on a demo job at that price - just send it to the landfill and pay $22-27 a ton to dispose of it.
