Well guys, here is the thing.

Yesterday I managed to PO another member, a guy I have huge respect for.
Not my intention but I did.

On another forum I have some guy going Mongo on me for no other reason then the fact that I am Canadian.

Another forum got stupid. Got WAY TOO POLITICAL.
I basically told them to stuff it and deleted my profile.

I have made that decision that for the next month other then LOCAL news and movies, I am stepping away from the internet.
I'm worried about my wife, she is at risk
I'm worried about my daughter, she is in healthcare, at home right now waiting for the call to come in when the front line falls.
I'm watching my retirement saving going down, down, down.

I don't want to do or say anything to further upset anyone else, even if by mistake. People are just way too uptight right now.

So stay safe people.
If I'm still here in a month or so, I'll check back in.

There isn't anybody around here going to give you any sh!t or a hard time, because the moderators won't allow it right along with the other members. So don't go anywhere-
those are orders from the top {who ever that may be}. But I'm just a #3 grease monkey and carry no weight.

Do what you feel is the right thing... I will of course be as supportive as possible! However I am standing with Truck Shop on this. You are a good guy. It really does not matter where your from. Good people are hard to find and we as a group are blessed to find so many in one spot. Hang in there WOW! Don’t let someone else take something from you that is rightfully yours.

Take good care of your wife and family wornout wrench. It sounds like your wife isn't in the best of health, and now's not the time for extra stress. Also good luck to your daughter, healthcare people are all really concerned by me.

When this has cooled down- just like SARS- H1N1- swine flu- ebola- lyme disease- y2k- great recession of 2008 and the 90's farm crisis, and many others ( which were all going to change the world forever) please stop back here and check in.

I will count on seeing you in a month or so, this too will pass away and the world will keep turning. Best wishes wornout wrench.

Office is closed, 3 cases of Covid19 now in the county. Going to the coast to continue the 4 year project beach home that I have barely have dried in. Minimizing my contact with the public. Plenty plumbing and electrical work to get ready for spray-in insulator. Be safe my friends!

I have enjoyed you writing here and feel that this forum in particular for me is an escape from the day to day worries. My family too has the health worries, self included. I need someplace to focus on problems and sometimes some silliness and you are a part of that. I will miss your contribution and hope to see/ read you again.
You and your family be well, Cam

Got a reminder robo call last week telling me I had a doctors appointment the next day and ask for confirmation, "Yes". Got an email confirming the confirmation. Next morning doctors office called said the doc had self sequestered (age) and asked if I could defer appointment to anther doc in the office, "Yes". Again, robo call ask for confirmation, email confirming the confirmation. Ten minutes later AGAIN doctors office called said the doc had self sequestered (age) and asked if I could defer appointment to yet anther doc in the office, "Yes". Again, robo call ask for confirmation, email confirming the confirmation. About an hour later the doctors office called said they needed to defer appointment to 24th, "Yes". Again, robo call ask for confirmation, email confirming the confirmation.
Which brings us to, today the 24th. 10:00am rolls around, we show up and half the parking lot is cordoned off with CV-19 and bio-hazard sings everywhere. we treked the maze and pull up at the doctors office, half a step inside and was hit by a barrage of of medical personal and questions from each; Name? Age? Appointment? Doctors name?... those are the ones I remember. Hold on - stay there. She went to receptionist and returned and ask if I had got a phone call this morning canceling the appointment? "Nope". They politely asked us to leave due to age. "OK" Turning out of the parking lot my cell phone rings and yes it was the doctors office calling to cancel the appointment.
Wordy way of saying doctors office canceled my appointment three times in one hour and again two days later, today.
I have no complainants because we haven't experienced these concerns we have only read about them now we all pull up our pants, pull in the belt another notch and do the right thing. Give what you can when you can and we will get through this together.
I've seen first hand the medical field trying to get a foot hold on this pandemic and like the soldier on the front lines of a daunting imminent battle they are standing fast in the face of adversity.
In my mind all of them are TRUE UNSUNG H E R O S !!

I , for one, am not going to live in fear over this. Its business as usual here and I dont see that stopping. If I suddenly disappear ..............you will know I made the wrong decision.
You don't have to live in fear, but all this has to be taken seriously. It's not that you get the virus, it's who you give it to. You might get sick, and it will pass, but perhaps that person you were talking to picks up the germs you are incubating and takes them home to someone in poor health. This social distancing is supposed to minimize the risk. They closed the churches to manage the spread. One of my neighbors had the entire congrigation over to his home, including many elderly men and women. Not smart.

Better safe than sorry. A good life is about making wise choices. If not for yourself, what about your loved ones?? I like the world I've built and staying home is a pleasure! Social distancing? Not a problem. Just remember the difficult people you have to deal with. It's nice to take a break from them. The sooner people understand this is real, the sooner life will get back to 'normal'.
