Volvo A25 off road dump shift problems

Mid 90’s A25 6x6. We got at auction. Worked great till today. Just stops pulling whenever it fells like it. Maybe mid route or stop to load or unload it decides not to move. Shut it off, start back up it will works fine till next time it does it. Do not have any experience with these trucks. Seems to be electronic. Any ideas??

Check voltage at batteries for a dead cell and also check alternator voltage 26 plus volts ,This machine has to have 24 plus volts to shift but that being said I have seen the microswitches in shifter go bad ...hope this helps

We have put new switch from volvo. Been through shift selector checked ohms per the shop manual. And load sensor. Ohm our harness per the book. Tried to buy new controller Volvo said discontinued so we are going to let them flash it. Next step red rag, fuel tank, match?!

It's a Volvo it needs a transmission.... I prefer centrans for exchange if you take good care of it you should see 10k hours out of it before doing it again

check where the loom runs through the back corner of the cab, they are known to rub/chafe into the loom sometimes
