Two jobs were you dont have to be right or care about any one your dealing with. I called monday about the coolant tank they sold the one i told them i would have picked up last week they said they were geting some more in the first of the week. No they didnt get any why? After some time he said they found a diffrent tank because of the problems with them and it wasnt a diereck replacement and needed some parts to make it work. Is there paper work with the new one telling what to do he didnt know could he look in the box and see? he was stumped. Could i have the parts number and look it up he rattled it off to fast could he repeat even faster. Ok i would think about it. I called back later thinking some one else would pickup it was same guy ok i will take it my guy will pick it up early next day. A hour later i needed a KW AC line so i called please put it with my tank. I didnt tell my guy about hose so i didnt get hose. Another job i am doing is brakes on another truck. I ordered brakes for a truck that is like this one both are single axle they sent brake for tandem axle so i had extra brakes i hadnt sent back. I ask sales man that comes buy if they would work on this truck would he check and if they were wrong i wanted some. I didnt hear any thing or get any shoes shiped to me so i thought they were right . They were wrong so i called sald i need brakes how quick could they bring them next day? He said he would check and call back. He called back he would have them to me early . 4:30 i called were are brakes? He said i will find out and call back. He called back and said he was sorry but they never got ordered and could he get the serial number agin? He said i will have them tomorrow.Last week the other guy were i work called Oreilys and ordered a hose he didnt need it till tuesday today he started working on it and ask if i had seen hose he called them they got it in and sold it.

How TRUE.. How TRUE..
The place I worked at.. the parts guys always paid for the shipping when they made a mistake.. {OFTEN}
WELL, not actually THEM but the company..
Its an EASY WAY to keep a {pizzed-off} customer..
Some even drop shipped it to them, Next Day Air..
An EASY WAY to get what u want is to>> talk to the Parts Manager.. "CLAMLY" explain what happened, how many TIMES this has happened & Politely INSIST they pay for the shipping..
& take back these fkn brakes.. LOL..

I KNOW the feel'n Doug..
I'd rather get kicked in the nuts than to "try" to do business w/ my old work place..{driving distance}
Its just not worth the hassle..
I'd rather PAY for the shipping,{ out of state company} just to get the right parts the 1st time..

When sales people come into the shop trying to drum up biz from a place I use to do biz with and ask what he/we can do to help you or get your biz. {Well the reason I stopped buying parts from
you guy's is you have no parts people working the counter and until you do I'm not shopping there}.

They are proably no better than there counter guy or cant get any better help. I am ether going to start working less hours at the shop or quit at the first of the year i dread going back monday.

I feel the pain fellas..
When I was working, the mechanics made the parts list.. walked it down to the parts dept & put it in a work order holder & rang a buzzer.. The buzzer was to let the guys know to put their u tube videos on pause & go pull some parts.. a 5 minute job..{no joke}
We would walk back to out disassembled pump & start the clean up process.. usually a 30+ min. job..
Then there was the "occasional" smoke break before going back to our work benches to start the rebuild..
So at times, we'd be away from our benches about an hour..
Come back & no parts.!!?? Whats a fella to do.?? I would get pissed & just stand there.. sometimes for HOURS..
THEN the boss would come in & ask what the hell "I'M DOING".. I'd get pizzed & say GO ASK THE FKN PARTS GUYS.. I'm waiting on PARTS.. FOR 2 HOURS.!!
So he'd walk to the parts dept & tell'm to get up & pull some parts.. BUT "I'd" get in trouble for standing around.!!
THIS happened WEEKLY.. all a fella could do was laugh.. cuz the BOSS KNEW what was going on..
It got to the point that I started leaving work when this happened..

I have been down with the flu and today was my first day back this week. The boss wanted to know about the deer guard i had ordered and didnt know when i would be back so some one else called and ask about it. They couldnt find any thing out so i called . I had spent several hours ordering this because the dealer wanted to add 400.00 shipping to this because they didnt have one in stock but had 30 of them at there other stores in other states. Some how they figured out that it could be put on a truck and hauled back for 150.00. I called and found it never was ordered but this guy got it figured out and one would be there in 2 days. I ask this name and he then told me he was just a phone anwserer and didnt work in the parts department. He then told me the guy that said he ordered it and his boss was no longer working there. Will see how this works out.

Wait till you drive to 6 different stores for 1/2" grade 8 fine thread flange head bolt with steel locking nuts that have flanges for bolting up leaf spring brackets to frame and they have nothing. Previous douche bag touched rig I have now and apparently it was to much to keep 6 nuts and bolts together and manage to lose two to put whatever in.

I have a box of those nuts and bolts in the pickup right now. Used a handful on a service call awhile back.

Sure let me pick up some extra, be right over...in a few days lol. I found them in next state over at the stealership when I picked my spring pins up. What ticked me off is I’m in the heart of oil/gas refineries and other such industries that supply the country where the Keystone pipeline ends from Canada. To top it off Fastenal a major fastener company isn’t opened to the public anymore here. So next state/area I jump to and need a fastener I’m boycotting them, rather wait to have it ordered in.
