I am also interested, typical for construct? Appear to be 2x6 or 8, nothing Steel inside wall boxes, that is some serious Concrete loading and still going to put a garage atop that?

Sorry boys, I didn't get any closer to the walls than from where I snapped that picture from. There is no steel in the far wall, just a wood "beam" made up of studs supporting the far end of the beam, the close side has a steel plate on the concrete wall.

Water valving protection concrete box. Just under the tree. 8400lbs. No boom trucks need apply. Laying flat and power scoping isn't for every rig.

Years ago I was hauling equipment for a large contractor in the area. They kept a 40 ton(ish) Link Belt in town (painted red and white, just like your Grove--which throws me off every time a see a picture) and that operator "power scoped" all the time. Sometimes I wondered if he knew how to raise or lower the boom. He would just suck it in and out. I thought he was scary, but he kept that job for years.

I rarely power telescope, its only in a situation like this where you don't have any choice. Its much easier to just boom up and down.

New concrete plant unload. Needed both cranes for the two tall tanks, its easier to unload those with two cranes rather than one. But the tank was last, so we each unloaded two semi's of hoppers and leg stands first with the RT and the 35 ton.

They had the big split tank loaded with about two inches between the drop neck of the trailer and the rotary switches in the lid of the tank. I put blocks between the neck and the lid of the tank, so if it slid a little it would just be on the lid, not ripping off the switches.

Put a lowboy support on brace on the peterbilt. The lower beam is just covering up the tail lights so I didn't melt them while welding the plate on. Its getting closer to hitting the road. I'm still planning on some of the mud flap brackets with the taillights mounted in the bracket, I've got them on a couple rigs and I like those, its like mid mount turn signals. Too many other irons in the fire, and I just haven't wanted to spend the $ yet.

Unloaded the other cement plant silo. The lay down yard is right on top of the hill. I left the RT up there and one of the guys unloaded the last three loads Friday.

Yard full of stuff needing attention. They finished up the brakes on the mack, it went to one job and came back with all the wheel seals leaking. My mechanic guy lost it, he's like "I know I didn't put them all in wrong".

I think the issue is the National seals seat in just a little deeper on the spindle, and the crud on the inner portion of the spindle kept the seals from holding on the spindle. That's my theory. He's thinking the seals are wrong. We'll see.

The 35 ton had a antifreeze leak from a small hose. I just parked it boomed up and figured I'd fix it cold in the morning. I smelled it coming home and "I know what that smell is and its not gushing out, I'll fix it at the shop".

Got the billboard unloaded and the pole set. It was kind of a tight spot backing blind for the delivery truck to get in. It was the same lady delivery driver that we had last time, and she's a old interstate driver, and "I'm still getting used to getting into jobsites".

I told her I would stand up in front of the truck, and show her which way to turn the wheel and put it right where it needed to be, and she was thrilled. Some guys won't take the help and its a pain getting them in there.

Her eyes did get big when she set her park brakes and it just started sliding down the hill on the grass. We chocked the trailer and the truck.
