Sorry for your loss Junkyard. Went thru your area today and now I read you were remembering the life of a friend. Makes a person realize that we never know when that time will come.

Thanks. We had his memorial last night. It was amazing to see how many people came. Hundreds of them. Some I haven’t seen in 20 years. I always knew the bond we had but hearing things he had said to others about me made it even harder to cope with the loss.

His boys are going to carry on his legacy the best they can. I offered to help in any way I possibly could. They laughed as I am only one of a couple people that know where everything out there is buried!

Sure makes each day we have left a little more important.

Dang that’s pretty. From a non truck driver, do all three axels drive?

On this truck the back tandem does. The lift is just a dead pusher. I’ve had tri-drives and they SUCK! We do too many tight turns, county roads etc. it would be a nightmare. Plus I’m never over 160k gross or in poor traction so a standard tandem does just fine.

He’s growing like a weed. He had a near death experience after he chewed up my handsfree for my phone! I’ll get some new pics tomorrow. He’s not the little squirt he was before. He’s going on 14 weeks old now.

He’s got chews. Just a pup that likes to chew anything especially after a little idle time alone in the truck lol. He’s a glove stealing little turd!

Just be careful with those rawhide chews! If a dog is too good of a chewer they can tear off too big a piece at a time and then it can cause intestinal problems. Each dog is different so just keep an eye on them.

We had a "problem" with a couple dogs a few years back, a Lab mix and a Greyhound. Gave both rawhide chews and they started getting too into it so wife said maybe we need to give them a break. She took the chew from the Lab mix no problem. Then I made the mistake of not getting the full attention of the Greyhound. When I took the chew he decided next best thing was my right forearm. Well Lab mix decided to come to dad's rescue and despite the Grey being twice her size she soon had him under control but not before doing serious damage to the front legs of the Grey. You know those picture with blood spurting out a foot or more with each heart beat that's what we had on the bedroom rug. My arm was just a gentile drip! Off to Vet ER and got the stitches in Grey, four or five as I recall!

Dogs got over it after a few days and Grey took a little time to warm up to me again. I think he thought I was mad at him, but I knew it was all my fault.

He’s attempted them once before. Seems to avoid them so far. He did chew on my old Nike’s but with all the fallout there I didn’t really care!!!

So far his little needle teeth aren’t terribly destructive to what he’s chewing on, just the skin he gets ahold of!

One of my old bosses long long time ago had a puppy and left it in the cab of the pickup got back from what he was doing and it looked like a foam bomb exploded- bench seat, seat belts, remember the old dashes that had foam/Naugahyde over metal? Down to bare metal. He was pissed at that pooch.

I sure hope he doesn’t reach that level of destruction. I don’t want to have that conversation with the boss man!!

Just on the seatbelt thing, we once put a blue heeler in the back of a 4wd wagon to travel a short distance.
The wagon had belts for the extra foldown seats, and after releasing the dog we discovered both belts had been severed, as if by the sharpest of knives.
There could only be one explanation.
