You would have cried if you saw us put 25k yards in the bottom of a pond just because the owner wanted to get rid of it. It was a shame. Screened topsoil goes for $14 at the pit here.LC if I had a 100K yards of that black dirt down here in AL I could retire, as it would easily bring $10 a CY the pit.
The 6 looks like it's still earning it's keep. Nice grade work in the 2nd pic.
Thnaks JNB. We got a winch for her , gotta get it fixed and installed a few odds and ends then we are going to get it painted. The 6 looks pretty slick in new duds.
Why did they demo it?I thought I would post some pics. It’s been a while and we have been so busy. Here are a few pics of a demo job we did. We actually cleared the lot and dug the footers for this house in the mid 90s. I guess we saw this one from start to finish.

Congrats on the new truck LC! I like flatbeds set up like that.
We get paid to tear down perfectly good buildings as well. Recently torn down a perfectly good building that was bank to put in an auto parts store.
The way I look at it is we are in the "Land Recycling" business.
Thanks CM. Yeah I really like the flatbed also. Still don’t have all my stuff on it. I still want to get a compressor for it and I have to mount my vice.
We need to add “Land Recylcing” to our business cards. That is a good one!
I took some two inch hitch tubing, welded them up a L shape, welded a plate on that and bolted my 6" vise on. Its a little heavy at 57 lbs but it sure works good when stuck into the receiver hitch. Gets the vise back to where it is handy for use and is not in the way on the bed when not needed.
I have set a couple vices up to go into a stake pocket too. Seemed to be a little tougher that the hitch tubing. Both work well.
Buildings never stood a chance!!
