Got my new Miller Air Pak mounted up today, had to spend some time dicking around with the oxy/ace cabinet top vent cause the welder interfered with it otherwise. Need to mount and plumb the air tank in, build an oil recovery system and get a full wrap on the truck.

I just bought the same Miller Air Pak too. Got delivered late Friday. Excited to get it out of the box and put to work. Let us know how yours is working

Dmec you got a real nice setup! How long have you been independent? That was always my goal one day, I like seeing the independent guys' setups too and seeing what experienced mechanics prefer especially up here. Seems most the guys down south of the border run open top bodies.

Thanks! I've been full time independent for 4 years now, Wajax equipment, other gigs, and part time independent before that. I was on the fence about deleting that corner cabinet, but my boxes are 74" tall, I'm not hurting for room at all, and the open deck is so handy. I have a buddy with an Int'l 7300/IMT dominator that have added a covered aluminum doghouse, under $4000 at Fabcan PG, the place that did my whole body.

That is beautiful. Any color but white is a huge plus in my book. If I ever get another one it will probably be all black or some sort of dark gray. Nice truck....TIO

Nice rig diggindirt. I am really liking the wide tool cabinet behind the drivers door. Really nice how there's 2 banks of drawers with the shelf on top. I looked up STI crane bodies after seeing yours, nice stuff.

How come you had to get new tools with the truck? Just showing off?

We are a smaller company, this truck was an addition to the fleet not a replacement so that’s why all the tools are new. I use the truck a lot doing pipeline maintenance jobs(changing valves, actuators, pumps, etc.) and sometimes on our job sites for tools, supplies, welding, not just mechanics

Not that I'm aware of. I took this picture right before a dismantling company came in and took it apart to haul it to somewhere in Pennsylvania.

Fellow running that 46 wouldn't be an older gentleman I might know who 14 15 years ago took his 46 swimming getting gravel out of a pit would it.
