The A25 has no serial number tag .. owner thinks its 4 digits starts with 8 _ _ 8 ..
Engine number I found is TD71K...288..43609...The heads are both badly cracked in injector ports and Owner doesn't have a parts book and Volvo is asking a lot for 2 heads
Is there anyone that has aftermarket or reconditioned heads ?

If you stand in the crush area on the right hand side looking forward (with the engine off and steering lock in place) if you look at the 45 degree cab brace the serial number should be stamped into the metal of that brace.
looking at what the owner believes is the serial number 8_ _8 wouldn't relate to a TD71k engine A25C's are 7901- 12500 serial numbers but they have TD73's A25's have 4001-6910 serial number or A25B 7001 -7789 serial number both of which have the TD71k engines
saying that, I have seen s few conversions from TD73 to TD71 when the 73's were hard to come by.

from the engine number its obviously a TD71k so you'll want heads for that, good luck! I have a supplier of new oem parts but your looking at £3300 before shipping etc per head.

Thanks for the information ...I will look in the morning first thing for serial number ..the engine is stamped TD71K but now I'm going to look see what is machine stamped .
Now I have another question you might be able to answer ..
Does this engine have a primary gear driven Water pump and secondary belt driven water pump?
Ive only worked on 2 Volvos .. A25c and a wheel loader 120b both had 2 water pumps one gear driven one belt driven ..This one only has gear driven water pump...

I don't want to hijack the thread but is there a good place to find used parts for an A25?

I would but I'm guessing the freight on a tailgate would kill me. I haven't been able to find one over here, thinking about making one this winter if I have time.
