I apologize for being a total newbie (female, aged brain almost 60, and no classes or instruction on such), after an hour of putting the power broom together (attach part lodged under it with pallet stuck wrong on the forks)...

the connections were loose and some hydraulic oil flew out, when I turned the broom on..fixed that...

but I am not sure which button angled it to the left, after that happened it did not move again when I tried most of the buttons...(please don't berate me for being so uninformed, the manual is very hard to read for my JCB 260, or at least I am not finding the part that explains the buttons well).

Any hints on the operation of this angled equipped 84 inch power broom brush tool attachment?

Also, my friend did not attach the wiring harness, he said that would only be for lights, he may be right....also...there are many wires just loose and out in the weather, is that proper?

We are getting another snow tonight, I'd like to try it for that...

What make of broom is it?

Being a power angle broom there will be multiple hydraulic functions - one to power the broom and one to angle. The wiring harness is necessary for operation.

I would assume the angle function is controlled by an electronic solenoid which gets it's power and signal through the wiring harness. That looks to be the solenoid in the picture.

Other members will be more knowledgable on the topic as I've never ran a power angle broom.

Best of luck!

I saw a strange power broom at the recycling center, then I realized it wasn't, a bobcat had a huge brush roller in a claw bucket and was driving around with it as a regular broom.

Thanks so much for input about quick Attach power angle broom 84 inch with my JCB 260

There is no such thing as a dumb question.

Thanks for the replies.

Thanks everyone for being so nice. I write even the most excruciatingly misinformed questions, hoping that when the answers come it will help someone ..my goal.

I had a lot of fun pushing snow off concrete AND frozen gravel.

I waited for friend to help me get the broom off the pallet (hour deal)...and forgot where I put the manual.

Today I found the manual and yes, wire harness should be attached, but directions exceed my capacity...so I need to put away till spring.

It was fun while it lasted! I like my snow blade, too.

It was like having a snow blower and the bonus was....somehow I made 4 balls of snow to make a snowman!!!

I hope to use the broom to find the actual barn and barnyard concrete and clean up that area, and keep the weeds off the gravel perhaps without pesticides...and so forth.

There is plenty of concrete here... I saw a youtube for a walk behind power broom which showed dethatching ..I've started....pushing the snow well into the lawn. There was no serious damage due to frozen ground.

Possible
Uses for broom list:

  • Make balls for snowmen
  • Clear concrete/frozen gravel, walks, of snow and other things (snow blower effect)
  • De thatch lawn

Please add ideas if possible.

They actually swept with that? A photo would have been great!

Power brooms are also good for winding up stray extension cords, extra long dog leads, stray rope and maybe garden hose that's left hiding under the leaves and grass.
