Nice score!

The new rig makes a nice addition to the fleet! It must have been somebody's baby.

Good looking truck! Where did it come from?

It's geared tall as heck; my Detroit will only do 2100rpm.

Thank you very much gentlemen. I was quite proud of the find.

Not sure I would be wanting to get close to a 3406 turning 17,500 RPM's Someone must have messed with the governor:eek:

Either that or it's a marine engine....it's okay if the valves float. :tong

Smartass comments like this are why this will be last post to HEF. I was actually a little off in my excitement when I claimed 70mph at 17,500. It's actually 16,000 rpms 70 mph and 75mph was about 75,000. A huge improvement in my world. My L9000 is 2,000 at 70, so I go 60mph... Regardless, I spill my heart out on here for those who appreciate it and for those who would like to go out on their own. I am at my five year anniversary for being self employed and it's been a heck of a ride. I've loved every bit of it and can proudly say not a soul on this earth has given me a single dollar or helped in any way that I didn't personally earn. I don't understand people like khansen who look at every single post I write but don't add a thing except when he can make a **** poor weak comment like that. You dang sure don't post any reality of your work.

I'm all over the google searches with my threads I've added here on HEF. I think my work and these truck projects will be fun to follow and the 379 project I had on HEF in another thread is really coming together. For the quality folks, I'll be out there on Instagram and FB carrying on with the adventures. Just look me up, shouldn't be hard.

are sure he wasn't trying to be funny. 17,500 is different than 1700 rpm. I think u just got the comma in the wrong place.

Fastdirt, I was just trying to make a joke, lame as it was. I have a sarcastic sense of humor, but I never mean to hurt or offend. I'm sorry if that was the case.

Regards,

Joi

Fastdirt, I'm sure the comments were made in jest. I hope you keep posting here as I find your journey interesting and I'm too old for fb, tweets and all that other stuff.

Sorry if a poor attempt at humor failed so miserably. I will try to not make any more comments in the future.

And I have manged to offer advice to several people on HEF, including the loan of tools to someone rebuilding an engine in a track loader.

If I make a mistake in a post I hope someone feels free to point it out, either just a matter of fact explanation or by poking fun at me.

Again I'm sorry if my little comment rubbed someone the wrong way.

Kshansen and joispoi, you have no need to apologize as your comments were obviously made in jest, an with good humor.

Fastdirt, it will be a shame if you quit contributing here; your ability and ambition are admirable, and your thread has been interesting to watch. You have thrown tantrums like this on other forums though, in which people were just trying to help you. FYI, the whole world is not out to get you. People often tease their friends, and I believe that is what was happening here.

I hope that you can get past this and continue to contribute, but if you choose not to, good luck to you in the future - I'm sure you will do well, and nobody has suggested that you have not earned everything that you have.
