Good stuff...Thank you....One of the spec sheets is for my truck..Its very clear now why my 2wd has a transfer case in it...The American Overdrive unit is gone..Either it failed or was removed. The transfer case would make up the difference in drive shaft length....Well thats one theory anyways..

Surerus built a huge new shop in Gibbons a couple years ago that I drive past on the way to my land. There must be well over $10,000,000 worth of equipment sitting in their yard right now. A few miles down the road they did a pipeline job and sure left the area nice. They stripped the top soil, packed all the fill and then replaced the topsoil and even ran a big disc over it. It looks better than a farmer could have done it.

Thanks....I will keep looking as well..I had a friend bend up some mirror parts.I am going with 16" westcoast mirrors. They need to be only two point mount as they are not ten feet off the ground and need to fold back instead of buckling my door if they get hit. They are bent from 1" 304 stainless.
I have a box of new gauges for it as well...I will be adding a tach, pyro and boost gauge.Water temp and oil pressure are being switched to mechanical gauges.
I will make all the missing parts for the mirrors myself from stainless..The tubing will be trimmed to size when I fit them

The hunt continues

That is an excellent hobby. While looking around for the front end, I mentioned your user name to a guy. He said he has 2 Diamond T's he would like to sell. If you are interested I will get a photo or 2. !960's vintage I think.

Hey there DTG. My searcher found a'77 Dana 60 housing less axles, crown gear and hubs. Has pinion gear and measures 31" pin to pin.
He says "It's a start." $250. He has others to check.

I would be interested in it.it would be a good starting point if I fail to find a complete one.Better to have too many parts than not enough.
Pictures of the Diamond T's would be good as well...
Thanks.

No worries. I don't know much about the diffs you're looking for so I thought I'd post it up just on the off chance. We'll all keep our eyes peeled.

I just emailed a friend of mine that used to be heavily into the rock crawler scene. He might know of one kicking around but we'll see.

I am following up every possible lead so I have e-mailed the seller. The core that Woodsey has found would be a good core to start from..Have to wait and see how it pans out..
