Yes the door appears to be "used"...Same goes for the box they have sandblasted..
So I went out today and got a rebuilt and upgraded NV4500 5spd,dual disc clutch, flywheel and the clutch hyd's...All new in the box from a project that didn't happen....It was a good score..Just need to locate a front axle..All new gauges have been ordered as well..
Just collecting parts right now...I will tear it down in the summer when the new shop is built...

DTG,I want to add a comment about the door. It is from Bulk Systems,a division of CP Transport. There were Bulk operations in BC,Alberta and Ontario. I was there for 18 yrs in Nanaimo hauling wood chips and hog fuel. The last 3 numbers on that door are part of a 5 digit series. There was one truck in Nanaimo with 404. It was an older Western Star. But the first 2 numbers could have been 10 or 14. I think that is a door from a Star.

Good eye on the lock , just a thought I'm not an expert , but most of the KW's I've driven had their mirror's mounted on cab , this one is mounted on door like a Western Star .

Go to Rivers Inlet and other Malloch & Moseley operations , go to page 19 post#284 , a good picture of an early 1970's KW door .

Definitely Kenworth doors in the last couple pictures. Cabovers used the door mounted mirrors.
My '64 also uses the door mount mirrors, but not the newer low door latches. Hope that helps
and not confuses the issue, but all the doors fit in the same door frame. Messed up a few doors
over the years and used what was cheap and available, you could at one time get a whole
cabover truck for what people wanted for the conventional doors.

I got some info on this truck today..At one time owned by the RCMP.It was originaly a 2wd and at some point Grizzly built a new 4wd chassis for it..Truck was re powered by a Ford 7.3 powerstroke..My info leads me to believe Grizzly (now Blue Grizzly) was playing with Powerstrokes and F-450's in the later years after they were gone from North Van.Dont know if Grizzly "built" a chassis or just supplied one.
Truck was for sale in 2008 from the dates on the pictures I got..price was $54,000..
Would be a interesting and very useable truck....

That blue one ^^ definitely appears to be on a mid 90's Ford f-350 cab and chassis 4x4 running gear and suspension. The wheels, long flat springs and front mounted shackles are a dead giveaway. It cant be an f-450 tho cause ford never made a 4x4 f-450 until 99, and by then the shackles were at the back, they used hub pilot wheels and the 450/550's were on 19.5" wheels. With a 7.3 and a 5 speed that would be a killer little pickup...keep the pictures coming!!

I am out of pictures and info on the trucks right now..As time goes by I hope to gather more and hopefully people stumble across this thread and add there storys..Some of my info has already been corrected on a few of the trucks.Would be nice if some of the Grizzly owners joined in.
At some point I will sit down with Jean and go through her archives of Grizzly stuff...I will share what I can of it...

As far as my truck....Like I said I have already gathered the bulk of the 5spd conversion stuff, currently working on getting a front axle. All the new gauges showed up yesterday.Water jet the parts to make new rear spring perches yesterday.Rear axle is on the top of the rear springs and will need to be flipped..
Tomorrow ....weather permitting I will measure up the airbags and find some new ones..Old ones are badly age cracked and I suspect they are the source of the leaks.
I am very stoked to get going on the project but need to get the new shop built first. No room in the other shop with all the damn Mustangs in there..

I have had the Fastback since I graduated in 1977.The Blue one I finished 6 months ago and built it just for fun..Its a fairly accurate clone of the 67 Trans am race cars..
Currently building a 66 Fastback as well...

Cheers
