They would not be able to get out of the gully if they pushed into it and tried to reverse out plus it would not be cost effective.. It is less dangerous then you think, worse comes to worse and you get stuck, you already have the chain hitched up to get pulled out backwards :)

Yair . . .

As .RC. says the chain is your safety line and it is never unhooked.
It can stop you going end over when you are standing on the dash and the other bloke can mostly pull you back if you get stuck.

.RC. Some more footage with the boys in better going may be of interest to some folks . . . and thanks for that.

Cheers.

Well I have filled in several gullies doing just that but I do agree with the part if you get stuck you have someone to pull you out. Never done it with a chain so I can't say that you are not correct. I think it is a great way on flatter ground for sure. That video also shows a Case 1150 with a D6. I would think that 1150 would be a wee bit small for that stuff. We have one of those as well as a couple of D-6's. Of course if that 1150 got stuck it would be easier to pull him out haha. Great video none the less. :thumbsup

Any info on this model would be greatly appreciated.I have a electric starter on order to replace the poney motor that is junk. But would like to know where the serial number is located. Was this a good model?Im going to use it to groom up my motocross track and improve the drainage around the track. It sure is a beast.

S/N should be a tag on the back of the bevel gear case located at the upper left hand corner (top left corner where the winch is mounted)
If the tag is missing the S/N should be stamped in the same spot (hidden by paint?)

I just wrote the check for her today. Bought it to clean up my 85 acre ranch. Pretty clean machine, need pins and bushings on the blade attachment brackets. Has decent paint, but the wrong decals...
