HM earth and others with CTL or mini excavators that have final drive troubles. My brothers 334 BC mini ex lost a seal and bearing. He called the BC dealer andthey told him with would be 5400 to get another final. I found a rebuilder down in Texas the remans them and has several on the shelf about half price. He sold us the parts for 900 and we did the rebuild. It wasnt easy but not super hard either. Its finaldrive.com they have alot of vids on youtube. Most of the finals are built in italy.

Where there's a will there's a way. How many hours on the new tracks so far?

About 180hrs I think and thanks to those new rear idles no signs of wear but I will say the ride not quite as good when your up on the rear idler so at this stage it was money well spent have them made

Deere 329D now that I have the new idlers on this is what I didl
20140615_084518.jpg
I took the twin ibler off and had this single one made up to stop rocks and stones being pushed into the track were the idlers run causing bad vibration through the machine and a life span of 500hrs now I should get well over a 1000 hrs out of set of tracks on rock

U

JNB ,

Everytime you post a new thing is being fixed on your machine....how has it been since the fire etc....?....

Its actually been working fine. The bearing lasted another 200 hrs. after I first heard it, so it was due. I have a couple other irons in the fire right now so I gotta make the machine last until Spring.
