I sure wish some of y'awl had the chance to meet Mr. Finley Hays from Chehalis, WA. He told me he topped and rigged over a thousand trees in his day, and I have no doubt that he did.

Pete Rigby is sharing his logging pictures and some from his father Reg Rigby's collection . The 1st one is an early logging truck having problems , on Koksilah Rd. between the bridge crossing the Kokislah River and the church on Cowichan Station Hill . 1926

On post 296 of the steam donkey, with a drum as big as pictured that might have been for use on an incline as the tracks are far too steep for any locomotive.
