36. Old man told when I was about 12 to get in the seat and learn how to run it. The "it" was a IH TD14 crawler with I believe a Laplant hydraulic blade. The steering clutch levers were almost longer than I was tall. After that is was a Case 880B excavator. Same story. Tough as these old wrecks were, I don't think I'd be the operator I am without learning on them.

Me too, but now I'm as close to the high end of that band as I was to the low end of it when I originally replied in 2008. That's bad...
