Beekster, it's some good drawings here https://www.dropbox.com/s/vkez99sgu8unxy7/Madill 071 Operator's Manual.pdf. If you get a spare part manual (should be some of them around) it would even be better. Good luck!

Thanks, Torkel! I do have this manual, provided to me earlier by another member of this forum in the days before DropBox existed. For reference I have the operator's manual, a production list, a factory brochure, and hundreds of photos. A goodly number have been found on this site and elsewhere on the internet. I've also got scans of old 35mm film pics I took of two yarders in Washington many years ago, and several dozen digital images of #70097 that I took in Tillamook. Might have to take another trip out there to see if there's anything I missed; perhaps try to get the tape measure on a few other things.

Here is my Madill 071 in 1/25 scale. I used a remote control Sherman tank for the chassis. Everything else is scratch from Evergreen styrene. The tower is pvc water pipe. Shown with the tower up and down. Also as a load on my scratch built 60 ton Cozad lowbed.

Does this rig get towed down the highway like this? Is the accessory axle there to make it road legal...and is it just built for this rig?... Dos the tow truck take it all the way up the hill?

Had a 144 verticle travel shaft shear off the other day. Surprise Surpise putting 7/8 track pad bolts into the shear pin coupler isnt a good idea. Idiots

I remember seeing a few yarders with bolts through the shear pin coupling when I worked for MB. I guess you know what you will be doing for a while. Were they able to get the machine back to the shop or will you have to repair it in the woods?
