That green and white KW is still a beautiful truck. Would love to know what it had for and engine. My gut feeling says a 1693 TTA.

Yair . . . I don't quite understand either D6 Merv. Can some someone explain for us . . . was the value of this equipment so low it would cost more to take it back to "civilisation" than what it was worth?

If so it sure seems to be a screwed up system that can leave gear rotting after just a few years of logging . . . I smell something POLITICAL?

Cheers.

I suspect that if, for example, the engine and undercarriage were both shot, it would make perfect sense to park it.

am an apprentice heavy duty mechanic with the hopes of having my own logging equipment and the trucks and towers i see on here are beutys and need to be restored or brought back to life there history and for me living in bc most of our towns were built around the industry if i was a serious buyer and wanted to buy some trucks and equipment from one of the yards and wrench on them and restore them how could i contact some of the owners or find the yard

That's a shame that they cut up the truck, it appears to be straight and solid without the typical cab corner or fender rust. I wish that owners would offer these trucks for sale or something before they cut them up - hence my websites, but sometimes you just don't have the time to sit on something waiting for a collector....
