Case Engine Side Panel Latches

I have been looking everywhere for these latches. It's a Case part number D121323 and they get something over $20 for each and mine has all four broken.

On the old rubber is "Adeco Mfg St Paul MI"

Forget Googling this, I already tried. Seems "Adeco" no longer exists. Spelling is correct. (Possibly now SouthCo)

Has anyone found these thing for a reasonable price

I had found these from Reid Tool for $8.70, but I can't seem to get enough dimensions to see which one might be a better choice.

These have rivets that I would need to drill/grind off.

The brackets are welded on mine so all I need is the rubber, unless I grind the old ones off and screw/weld on the new metal parts.

It's not easy to measure these. The only one I have is broken and barely together.
The T-handle end id 2 9-16".
Overall length is ~ 5".
The ball portion is 1.06" diameter.
The other end with the pin is 1 1/8" wide.
From the mounting pin center to the mounting pressure point on the latch is maybe 2 5/8" to 2 7/8". With this one old, hard and broke this is the place hard to measure.
I don't know how much a new one stretches.
This distance could be longer if the thing will stretch to 3"+

I see this also fits a 480C, 480D, 580C, 580D, & 580E per brokentractor website. They show a part number 37-10-102-10 which is the same SouthCo latch that Reid Tool sells, just unassembled.
They do not list this with a Case number.
I actually wonder if this is really the same as the Case latch because of the strange angle. My old one looks more like the cheaper Buyers Products unit.

My side panels have been held in place with a bolts wedged into the padlock hole and after I get the thing all painted, I do not want this to keep scratching the paint. :Banghead

I ordered me 4 from Reid Tool because I think they will work.

And I did make them work. Mine called for a Case # D121323. I had to grind off some rivets and did not use all the parts that came with these.

However I later found more options.
I think that the SouthCo # 37-10-102-10 will also work. Google it...
Brokentractor.com has these for $18 ea but I see some on E-Bay for $8.95 Ea.
I would say this will be the best option, except this may not be a kit that has new mounting hardware.

If you want to try these I would call them and ask which one replaces the SouthCo 37-10-102-10
You might want to order just 1 pc to try if you want to try this option...

These rascals are problematic.
Some rubber is stiffer and may not stretch enough.
If the side panel is bent so it's not positioned just right the latch may be loose or tight.
And my ball sockets were welded in place vs. adjustable.
All of these part numbers have different variations for stainless vs steel, different mount etc.

Or try taking one to a Mack truck dealer they look just like the ones Mack at least used to use on batter box covers.

I have gotten those at Napa. Lots of different things use them
