I have searched all over the forum for who you guys would buy an attachable root rake from and have not really found the answer. Who makes good quaility attachements (root rakes). USA Attachments has a rake that has AR 400 steel teeth. Has anybody had any dealings with USA or any of their products. Also does anyone know about Solesbee or North American Attachements. Thank you for your time.

I've been looking at rakes online for a while, and also thought the Rockland looked good. I was thinking of the SR series pin-on that has a raised guard for my D6c. http://www.rocklandmfg.com/Images/PDFs/Rakes.pdf

There are quite a few makers/styles out there...some light weight, others look extremely tough.

I'd also like to hear what models work well.

I haven't had any experience with the root rakes from USA Attachments, but i have got a few other items from them and have been very happy with the products and service.

solesbee has a real good rake. with rockland not far behind. The only suggestion I would make is to have a good idea of what size one you want. That includes spacing of the tines, hight of tines relative to bottom of blade and to ground, bushings location of where it attaches to the blade, and weight. I have seen people get mad after they have bought one and complain they can't see it. Specially on a u or semi u blade.

Fleco has a good product line. I've seen good results loader rakes, dozer rakes, buckets and quick changes.

Bringing this one back. Need one for my JD550G LGP. Any suggestions? Dont really wanna be cutting a rake apart and resetting angles and so forth. Most all of them look the same, Rockland, Fleco, Solesbee. The USA attachments actually looks the stoutest to me but I dont know anything about them. Diamond in Oklahoma looks the kinda puny to me.

I've got one that was made by Kenco Mfg for a D4G XL that I would sell.

http://www.kencomfg.com/

You can look at theirs by clicking on the link and then going to Combination Rakes where it says "Choose your destination". Mine looks like the one in the picture on the left.

It's built very well. I bought it new in 2009 and used it to rake 60 acres in an old German POW camp in Ft Hood after I cleared it. I've used it on about 150 acres total. I gave $2200 for it new and would take $1000 for it now cause I sold my little dozer. I'm 3 hours west of you near Waco. Come look at it if you want.

Got the rake measured

OK, that rake is 94 inches wide. From pin to pin it's 90 inches. Shanks are 12.5 inches long below the cutting edge. From the angle iron at the bottom where your cutting edge rides, it's about 46 inches up to the pin hole.
