hopefully they don't put a superboom on the case skids. it looks like case is going to have a sv185. i assume s means skid steer and v means vertical lift. so it would be direct competition with bobcats s185 or s570 if that is what the m series is called when its released.

new holland really lost some rear visibility. they say its becuase the T4 engines are so much bigger. and it sounds like they will have egr and direct injection. case lowered their towers which would give less reach at full height. gone r the pilots, hello to e h. case boasts that their cab is 25% wider. im impressed they still have the nh front door where its not one full piece of glass.

is there any news on when bobcat is going to release their smaller m line of skid steers? anyone know if they r keeping the 175 185 and 205? i suspect they could drop at least one model. form what i can see, im most impressed with the new bobcat skids than any other.

The NH and Case skids will now be identical with the exception of the light bar (Case will still have lights out to the side), lap bar/shoulder harness (Case will have the lap bar) and the paint job. Those are the only differences. NH AND Case will both have the "SuperBoom"- Case gets the SuperBoom and NH get's it's first two small frame radials. Now existing Case and NH customers can pit each dealer against one another for the exact same machine....the dealers have to be loving this. The full range will be at ConExpo.

It makes perfect sense for the Fiat ownership group, but it instantaneously eliminates the legacy that both NH and Case have as individual brands in the compact business....same minis (Kobelco) and now same SSLs and CTLs. It makes me wonder if they are preparing to sell the construction segment of their business.

Asking the reps is pointless, but certainly rumors can be let flown here given that Agco is interested in CNH.

It is scary. I know I have to wait until the new machines are on the ground but this could be a trainwreck. I really like Case skids and it is a shame to throw away what they have now with the S3's. The NH did need an update but, this?

This is just my opinion but I feel Case has had constant missteps with the skids since the late 90's, especially the marketing.

yes. this is retarded. the new skid is fine if you own a new holland. then it would make an alright replacement. but i fail to see how the super boom fits into cases strategy at all. and whats with the poor visibility on the super boom? im thinking bobcat is the way to go now after seeing these. if they would have just slightly updated the case s3 it could have been the sweetest skid in the industry. but there is no reason to complain really... this has happened many times esp in the agricultural industry. good companies just go under and all the good ideas go with them, thats just the way it is. eventually we will prolly be just left with 2 players in most any industry.

I don't think Case/NH will disappear. I just don't think Fiat will own them much longer. I can see Case IH possibly being spun off and either Case or NH being eliminated so that only one remains.
