do you get extra paid to crush it down ?? (0-32?)
we normally dont crush it further than necassary, it could still for filling operations..

Its not really my area of knowledge, but this was crushed to what we call 6F2which I think is 75mm and down. Someone here might correct me on this but I think thats it.

Presumably we charge for crushing but again, thats one for management, I'm just the one pulling the levers!

ORDINGEN,

No we don't have any boom mounted cameras on any of our high-reaches.

There use if very limited other than the ability to see how much material has built up on upper floors or any hanging pieces of debris which you can't see from the cab.

You wouldn't be able to judge distance either (Viewing through cam) and they'd probably end up caked in concrete dust.

Having said that given a choice I'd have one!

Great pics Andy.

Saw a high reach arm of J.F Hunts south bound behind Gaywoods tractor unit (KANE GROUP ) on Thursday afternoon. Happened to mention it to one of the lads at work today and it transpires the machine was parked up in Toddington services overnight and I missed it. :Banghead Sounds like it was an Hitachi about 80t ! Dont know if thats likely or not and only going by the description 3rd hand

I think that would possibly be a Hitachi ZX870, Kocurek modified for high reach. Probably 40m working height.

Will try and get some new pics.

336

we just ordered 5 new cat336, which would share a long reach and dredging equipment. In addition to three 50tons komatsu and three new volvo 360s.
Size do matters

Your company must be doing well! How many different arms are you ordering with the 336s? Will they share just a few high-reach and long-reach arms?

yes, it has finally turn to something more positive.
just one set of dredging and long reach arms which would be shared between the machines. we have 3-4 other long reach machines so...
all machines with hydraulic undercarriage, tilting cab and straight booms.
