I took these at the Bingham Copper Mine in Utah a couple years ago. I'm assuming the hauler is a 793. The hoe is a 385.

Jason wouldn't be easier to just track the hoe? Or were they taking it pretty far in the mine?

I think it was about an hour later when I looked all the way down in the bottom of the pit and saw them unloading it. So I think they moved it a ways!

Now that's a trailer, that you can side load a 385, keep the tracks perpendicular to the deck and still not have much, if any, track hanging off the side.:cool2

410 ton trailer

Here is a Mine Ranger 410 ton capacity trailer being delivered to a minesite in Central Queensland. Tractor unit is a new 793. The trailer has 793 wheel-ends fitted with oil cooled brakes. A 4 cyl Perkins diesel engine circulates the oil through the brakes and coolers.

The last 2 photos show a Drill-tec drill being transported. The largest load I have seen being moved on this rig is a Cat 5235 excavator.

Is that a quick hitch at the front and loading ramps at the front? If that is so it would eliminate screwing around and backing into loading ramps with a load on.

The trailer has oil cooled brakes only - no drive. The 50hp Perkins would not give much tractive effort. Yes, it has a quick hitch on the gooseneck for loading. The rear engine supplies hydraulic power to work the ramps.

This is our big low loader. 350 ton trailer pulled by a 777. That is a Hitachi 3600 on the back. The pics are approaching #2 on the back #3 looking down on the prime mover from the back deck of the excavator.

It's funny, that first truck was my old truck when I started up here....before they turned it into a tow truck that is.
