This would, of course, include Crown Forest Products, Fletcher Challenge, and Timberwest. No ex-BCFP iron, please! That belongs in the BCFP thread. :) I have only this picture of a Crown-Zed P-16 to contribute, so I leave it to Hayesno1 to fill this thread! :D

I have some old pics scanned off slides from the CZ Clatsop Tree Farm at Seaside, Oregon. The old logo is clearly visible.

CZ Salvage Yarder, Clatsop Operation

Check out this little salvage yarder mounted on the D8 Cat. CZ Logo visible on radiator end there.....

They are rigging down for a move it looks like.

And last, a P&H shovel swinging a big one.

In that last pic there I see when the slides were printed to pictures it wound up backwards! The cab is way over to the right rather than the left there, lol.

The one where the truck is being loaded. Someplace in a box I have maybe 150 pictures I took in 1989 at the big CZ RB auction in Ranier, Oregon. There must have been 70+ of the orange trucks all lined up in one row there, still with the stickers on them! Yarders, shovels, everything. I'm in Alaska and that box is in Washington, so I wont be posting those anytime soon:Banghead

One of these days, though! Like I say, I have 30 years worth of pics, so keep checking the HEF for the next 10 years:D

One of the old Franklin River trucks? I've always liked the looks of those LM Macks.

Brand New Washington TL-5C at CZ Cathlamet Washington

These are scanned off a brochure, hope they turn out OK. CZ in the States had a ton of Washington gear, a huge fleet of TL-6's, 108's, and 208's.

This TL-5C is a neat machine, not too many were built. I have only seen 3 in my lifetime in person, 2 at Weyerhaeuser Vail and one in BC.

I believe only about six of those were built, I heard they weren't powerful enough for big wood, and were always blowing hydraulic lines. Neat pictures!

More pics of old CZ trucks. I am pretty sure the P16 is an old CZ truck.

What a bunch of tired, sacked out wrecks! :( It seems to me that all of CZ's old iron went for s#!t when Fletcher Challenge/Timberwest took over. The stuff at their Sandspit operation looked much the same at the end. The few trucks that survive today are pretty run down.

Here's a great clipping featuring a CZ truck train. 5 pre-load trailers and 4 dollies under them! Took me a bit of looking to find this.

Gotta love it!

In the late 70's Loggers World spent a full issue on the CZ Nanaimo Lakes Operation, its full of pictures and articles regarding all of it. I have a couple of copies and wish they were here in Alaska with me.......but they aren't. I'll round them up one of these days.
