Does any one have any information or thoughts on using Wal-Mart 15-40 super tech bllue bottel oil. Who is it made by and how does it compare to other oils. Some one told me they thought it was the same as Vavoline.

The oil is formulated and blended by Warren Performance Products or WPP,the old API rating CI-4 was a better formulated oil vs the new CJ-4,it's an "ok" oil but IMO stick with one of the bid "3", Delo,Delvac,Rotela, better oil's

According to my wife who has been with walmart 20 yrs in a couple of months: Sometimes it's by Warren, sometimes somebody else is low bidder for that lot.
Wal-mart owns the name and bottle design and has the oil formulated and bottled by different suppliers.

I assume it does meet a set of certain standareds, but I wonter if any one has tested it to see how it compares to other oils? Sometimes you wonder about private brand oils, like TSC , Wal-Mart, etc. I guess it is pretty expensive to get a 15-40 oil certified. I wonder if all them do it or just use some other manfactures oil and relable it under their name.

It is certified hence the API rating,BUT that said....i've seen VOA's(virgin oil analysis)on this oil and the additive package is weak compared to the products listed above.

will it get the job done and get you by? yes but why settle for just
"getting by" when there's better built oil's out there.

and right now wal mart has Delvac priced at $9.50 a gal, great price for a superb oil.
