Is what I'm seeing what I think is going on there? A reversed bucket with a pallet in it and a 2X6 all used as some kind of boom to raise the trusses? Hope nobody got hurt. That's one of things that works better as an imaginary thing.

Not even taking into account safety risk, how many trusses will the guy destroy? All to save a few hundred bucks renting the right machine for the job. Is what makes me mad is some guys will get lucky and get away with doing crap like this!:spaz

Good old nail benders. Team that up with one who has a brother that is an operator, you get stuff like this. Spent a few years running a shooting boom forklift with a truss jib setting trusses. Want to talk about a bunch of cry babies, carpenters would be it. Every time that truss moved a little bit they all started yelling WHOA!

Yeah I know who runs that ex, it is an outfit called Stupid and Dangerous.
Really Stupid is a nice enough bloke, just a bit a silly sometimes. His cousin Very Dangerous is not so nice and has been know to hurt people.
Anyway hopefully they didn't get anyone killed, like they usually do.

That looks like something a couple of contractors around here I bid against would do. Use the wrong machine to do the work because they underbid the job.

And then the authorities have to step in and impose a whole bunch of safety rules, which everyone has to abide by.
Then there is insurance costs which go up because of idiots like this.
The thing is if you are doing a lot of this sort of thing it would pay to build or have build an attachment designed for the job.
