I picked up a used miter saw a few weeks ago. Definitely beats a circular saw for doing trim and moldings. Have already done new trim around my garage window and a door with it and the 45° angles come out perfect every time.

If you don't have one already get a stand for it. I used my first saw on the ground or a temporary bench. A dedicated stand with work supports makes a huge difference. Mine was cheap $100 (or so), portable, light and it folds up for storage.

I cleaned my deck a few days ago and Dad stopped over with a cool new tool! I never used one before, but after trying it out I'll never clean concrete or deck boards again without one. Check it out in action on this week's video if you're interested. The Simpson pressure washer scrubber attachment is freaking awesome! It cleans uniformly, fast and shields you from over spray!

my friend has the higher torque unit and we hit the lugnuts on my truck last night at #2 just to see how it did. I guessed 135 by gut feel, but it was really close to the 150 spec. It was a hit it and forget it setting for 150 pounds.
His toque wrenches get calibrated at the shop regularly. I am going to see how this new gun hits after I get the batteries hot.

that one I got is half the weight and size, no kidding. How it holds up is yet to be seen. $169 for the bare gun on Amazon.

the mid torques are amazing impacts. Don’t expect the world out of it torquewise but for pulling panels, components, guards, and general duty it’s awesome. The high torque impact is of course lots more powerful but a lot heavier and larger.

the one I would NOT waste my time on is the M18 “compact”. The head is a lot smaller and it’s much lower torque but the big battery gets in the way and means it really isn’t going anywhere the mid torque isn’t. The M12 compact which is same head is a much better choice.

I used my milwaukee 1/2” high torque on 24.5 unimount lug nuts with no problem although i find it a bit heavy for light duty jobs

I don't remember if I mentioned it but I got a Bosch 3/8" I believe and it worked great for turning lug nuts on the front backhoe wheel.

I keep our M12 3/8 behind the seat in our pickup when we travel. It will break free 7 out of 8 lug nuts that are torqued to 135 ft lbs. and also lower/raise the spare tire. It is small and light. I leave the M18 at home now. Cam

Well I wanted a Hypertherm, but settled on an import plasma cutter instead. I only ran a few test cuts just out of the box. The cut quality and initial impressions are pretty good! However the operator needs some practice and the shop setup needs some upgrades; air and power.

Time will tell on this unit as I have big plans for it in the future. Check it out on my YT channel if interested. It is Hynade 80 amp plasma cutter.

I picked up a Primeweld TIG225X tig welder about a month ago. I got a chance to learn some basics about tig welding years ago in a welding class and I've always wanted to do some more. I sold off some 'junk' around the house and used the money to purchase the welder. I've been so busy with harvest since I got it I've only put about an hour on it. Once I get a couple hundred hours, I'll try to figure out if this was a good choice in a machine or not.

I picked up a Harbor Freight special a month or so ago. The mini tire changer, on sale with a coupon for under $40. This thing is handy. Both front tires on my lawn tractor rotted out and seeped air through the sidewalls. I bought 2 new Carlisle lawn tires for $50 and finally found time to change them out this afternoon. Super simple. I watched a YouTube video on how to use it and had both tires changed out in under 30 minutes. I did have to use a shot of ether to set the beads but the task was a breeze overall. I got them back on the tractor just as the rain started coming down again.

Now to pickup new tires for my dad's golf cart. He drives it so much, the tires are showing cords. I also have 2 wheel Barrow tires to replace and a snowmobile dolly with a bad tire as well. Always something.

I tried changing my garden tractor front tires without one last year. It turned into a real poop show....I ended up buying the tire changer and it's an amazing tool. It makes tire changes a breeze and I smile everytime I use the tractor without having to inflate the tires first.
