Worked on BW11RH today it would run fine but will idled down and cut off and the screen just says CTO I have never seen that before. The hydraulic filter blocked light now comes on as well causing it to shut down. I took the filter off the the oil is clean no gunk, or metal the O-ring on the hydraulic filter housing is damaged. I unplugged the sensor and jumped it the light still comes on. Any insight would be appreciated!

On bomag CTO means you have a canbus failure between to modules or sensor to module. Could be a anything from a bad sensor to bad wire or ground. Since your hydraulic mil ID on i would start by checking t GE wiring and sensor connections on the hydraulic side. Unfortunately bomag is not very kind on the wiring side. Those harness are wrapped up tight in that rigid weaved yellow loom. They also love to use relays. Lots of em redundantly. Why use one to turn on a work light when you can use 10. Its German.. Luckily all wires end up in either the wire/fuse/relay/missile launch control Cabinet or the dash display. Unfortunately again the electrical wire buying guy at bomag is color blind and every wire is white. Miles and miles of white wires with the tinniest little ink numbers written on them that can only be viewed using the Hubble telescope on max power. ID start with connections first. Its rare we have a actual harness issue on bomags. Their harnesses all and all are very good. Usually one of the relays or sensor is at fault.
