Live the dream.

Loud pipes saves lives. See a trucker save a trucker. Think about the children. *

In other trucking news- I actually do need a set of bumper guides. I've managed in the last week to both bend the bumper of the western star on a mafia block at the quarry, and bend the front passenger step of the liebherr at the railroad.

I'm thinking I need to take one of those six week driving courses.

Its funny you can go forever with out a deal then its one after the other. I am extra careful now that i just have a permit. I havnt had to drive through any towns hauling stuff but if i start going to a new place i will i dont like it . I got rear ended one time in this town and a speeding ticket.

If there ever was a color a vehicle shouldnt be painted.
My uncle was a mechanic at a John Deere dealership for about 35 years. He needed to repaint his mid 70's, Ford pickup. So, guess where he got a good deal on green paint? Yep, John Deere green. It looked awful, that is all I can say about it.

We have a 195? IH pickup that was owned by a Deer dealer. The paint is faded and dosent look like Deer green but i was looking at it and discovered it was a real nice blue at one time before that i had not thought about them painting it.

IMG_20220517_091526.jpg My winch truck was a IH dealers truck and they painted it white over the red. The white is coming off buy the time i am done with it it will be back to red i like red . IH had some of the better paint jobs in the 70s . I fixed up and drove it almost 30 years a 1967 GMC pickup . It was silver with a painted grill. From what i know about it it was repainted silver when it was new. I didnt know this until i started to fix it up they did a great job painting every thing. I was going to respray it silver until i found out it was blue i also was going to repaint the grill till i found out it was chrome and in perfect shape. I never saw paint stick to chrome very good but some how they made it happen but stripper took it off easy.

List of Kenworth starting serial numbers from 1946 to 1955. These are for models in the
500 and 800 series. The 900's didn't start till 1956. So if your looking at one in the weeds
and wonder the year, all had a plate on right side of dash, or stamped in center of original
bumper, or stamped in right front rail, and some on left hand hood near radiator cap.
