That's quite the line of scrapers. Will they haul each one over to the next project, or road them the 30 miles?
We've sent 12 over so far. I'm watching over the 2 finishing up in Thermal. Apparently the boss would rather have me on the ground to take care of any repairs / servicing as needed. If an operator is late, doesn't show or needs time off, I'll jump in the seat. Anyways..... back on topic.. We've sent 12 . The last two will go in a week or so.
All 9 axel loads.

Here is one of our K's leaving the Cat dealer.

Yeah- old no shoulders looks like he's been eating well, he's pretty thick in the middle. So are you warm enough year round that they don't hibernate?

I also didn't know that the western diamondback had black and white stripes just before the rattle. That's a great video. I think I'd need a little more of a zoom lens, so I could have plenty of distance. :)

Now I don't know much about snakes. But I do know that getting bit by a rattler will likely ruin your day. I followed his tracks up and out of the job...he did indeed get the hell out of here. Being as old as he is and surviving 20 scrapers moving 2 million yards, I certainly wasn't going to end it for him with a shovel.

Had a Timber rattler back in '82 take up residence in a scrapped out 755 deere frame at the garage I had just started at. Kid of previous owner(St Charles Tractor Service) had come a running in yelling SNAKE!! Multiple Times so I DID grab a shovel and went out to where the beast was making noise. Pissed it off enough to get it to try to slip away as was getting nowhere rattling and striking at the shovel handle. Caught it in the open and SLAM came off the head.. Just under 6' long, made a excellent meal for us garage Coolies. Boss ended up with a SWEET looking Belt and Hat Band from it. His yard HIS Prize.

Neat video Pete, that's really impressive. Any idea how many yards an hour are getting moved there?
Let's see..
We have 10 machines hauling 14 loads per hr= 1120 loads in 8 hrs.
That at 44yds avg = almost 50000yds at the end of the day. That's only our 57's. There are 10 637' running also so I don't know..
Maybe 80000-90000 yds a day?
