Bob MacMillen Collection BCFP Renfrew Div. This must be a picture of the #225 HDX Hayes pulling the #717 Burger Tower when it was fairly new , as the paint looks fresh along with the chrome stack . This truck also appeared at the "Truck Loggersscan45.jpg " convention in Vancouver B.C.

That truck was originally a Mach Rock Truck that worked on the St Lawrence Seaway in Eastern Canada . I believe Norrie Brothers Logging brought 2 of them to B.C. and had them converted to logging trucks at Copley's Shop in Cobble Hill B.C.

Les Way Collection Quite often at BCFP Renfrew Div. the lowbed was sent out to haul over size "Butt Logs" . There was an old Spruce Butt that had a lot of rot in it laying on the ground behind the Rec Hall at the old Harris Cr. Camp . It was a point of interest even after the camp was shut down and moved to a new site at the North arm of San Juan River . When I was there a few years back as I remember the truck and trailer were close to 80K we were hauling 250K of logs. The grade coming down was maximum of 30% it took about 300 gallons of water each trip to cool the brake drums.
