What form or where can I ask about a JD9630 scraper special tractor that I have hydraulic issues with???

You can certainly ask here. Newagtalk might or might not get you better answers? Don't know of a JD specific farm forum.
What's happening? might help to add a few pictures of the hydraulic pump etc. JD probably used a similar system somewhere else, and somebody here might recognize it even if they've never seen a 9630. Any description of the hydraulic system you have might help also.

Agtalk isn't any help. I've tried and nobody seems to know anything about a "scraper special" even though it's not much different than an ag tractor. I'm mainly interested in knowing what the solenoids do on each end of the hydraulic remotes do. There is one on each end of each remote. What kind of voltage do they require and what do they do when energized. That would be a nice start to my problems . I am putting all new hydraulic pumps on this tractor because of a hydraulic oil heating issue that it's had. It is a very costly fix but the secondary pump is toast and while I'm in there I'm doing the main pump too. I have a JD mechanic that is diagnosing the problems and I just do the "grunt" work and of course flip the bill.

I am using it for farming only. You might say that it will have an "easier life"

I am not familiar with those units. With that being said, if you have variable speed control of the SCV circuits then the voltage would actually be pulse width modulated. So checking voltage with a meter is out of the question. Most likely would need an oscilloscope to check. If they are on/off solenoids (function moves at one speed only) then voltage can be checked with a meter. I'm guessing they are pulse width. The ohms of the solenoids can be checked. Spec should be 4.3 - 5.5 ohms @ 25*C (77*F).

I think they are PWM controlled, I believe that's how they'd integrate auto load or GPS on the scraper rigs. Only have a little bit of hands on with the green scraper tractors too, see more red or blue ones.
What sort of implements do you run on it, sometimes certain implements/configurations can cause oil heating issues.

I only pull a field cultivator with it and sometimes a chisel plow. So the hydraulics just get used for a "full stroke" one way or the other-----up and/or down. There is no constant oil flowing with any of the implements that I pull. such as running a fan or constant down pressure. Thanks for trying to help me out with this deal. Last spring when I was using it, the oil got so hot that it let the plastic hydraulic reservoir squash down and rubbed a hole in the bottom---- made a big mess. haven't got the tractor in useable condition again since. Putting both (2) new hydraulic pumps on it right now plus anything associated with the pumps. The issue I was having with a remote outlet was it's constantly allowing oil to go through it.... and I don't think it should be. Any help is greatly appreciated.
