Takeuchi TB175 blew a 1 amp fuse customer stuck a 5 amp in it " smallest he could find " and kept going and then after a few days it blew that and then it wouldnt stay running even after he replaced the fuse again , solenoid would pull back but wouldnt hold as it had lost voltage on the hold wire . This is what we found .

Mines a little quiter but not by much as i added a muffler . It also powers a 4 cylinder compressor with a manual disconnect clutch if your just doing a lot of welding . But if im using the crane and the trucks running i let it build the air if i dont need alot of air volume or press. . 80 gal. tank plumbed to truck air with a air toggle and a 1 way check so the big comp want charge the truck tanks . Works great .

Enjoy your pictures and stories especially the old friction cranes. Ran a dragline doing drainage ditches years ago, always been fond of them since!
