Oh, Forgot to ask... Are those Sticks or Allisons? I got to play with both and very much preferred the Allison.

I drove by a site yesterday that Richardson Construction is just beginning work on and they have one of their 339s on site. They have not started moving dirt yet but once they do I will try to get some more pics and some video if anyone's interested.

Me too, I worked with some 339s some years ago. But never a turbo machine. I always wondered why Wabco never offered a twin power version. As I recall the were good loading machines. If the dirt was right and you had enough slope, 2/3 of a load was possible self loading.

Yep keep the pictures coming. Would like to see how they go too. Our 259FT self loads great.
The limited slip diffs play a big part in the traction. Where's the job?
Cheers.

The job is located in South Carolina near the small town of Richburg. I will try to get some video and additional pictures as soon as they get moving.

Great pics! Im glad to see that people still care to keep these machines up and running and looking even better than new. Good thing that last pic was just a flat tire and not a broken axle flange. Been there and done that, not a good ride.

Back at work ...

Haven't posted for a while, been busy - floated out of where you saw me broken down Ray C, just packed the spline with hand-ground key steel pieces and metal filler and machined a nut to carry the plate end more securely, then built the pad and dam we were there to do. Now working on a Dam at Manilla. Could have posted some fabulous video if I could have found a lunatic game to film it - loading shale rock, dumping on the turn down the face of a 10 metre wall, fattening inside batter to raise old wall top by 1 metre. Every load felt like I would go over, what a rush..
I used to say to myself as turned off the crest -"you are following your own tracks, you survived last time, it must be ok." Then I followed a damn excavator track down .... thought I was gone then..

-Pic 1 loaded for Manilla Dam
-Pic 2 took an hour to weave through Manilla town, two guys holding up 20 odd power lines with poles to let machine under...
