2003 VT365 Engine cranks but will not start, Injectors are not firing, all power supplies to IDM are good. all wires to all injectors have been checked for shorts and opens. Getting codes 452, 453, 455 and 458. low side return shorted to ground. Injectors cycle properly during startup sequence and shutdown sequence. Any advice?

Thanks

Not sure what to codes are....been too long. When cranking are you building up to 500 psi? If not they won't fire. If it's not building to 500 there's a high pressure oil leak somewhere. Multiple places it can be. Test with shop air isn't bad or hard to accomplish. A metric fitting or two is all it takes. You can source locally or search them on the web. Everybody and their brother sells them it seems.

If that's not the case then we shall have to dig deeper :)

Hi,
Sorry that you're having trouble with your truck. I've worked on a number of these and if you're getting those codes the 1st place I'd look is the connectors going into the FICM. That's the computer under the coolant recovery tank and on top of the drivers side valve cover. These motors are fairly straightforward. Google "6.0l coffee table book" and that will give you lots of good information. The motor you have is pretty much the same one that goes into the Ford diesel pick up trucks. Good luck and hope that helps.
