Beautiful stuff. One of the better collections i've seen. I used to have a good one but the computer lost it all. Re-starting now. I recognize some of the machines, places, etc. But the 7280 and 7230 and HDX of Lyle's take the cake for me.

Hayes trucks

Saunders was a huge trucker on the island (Nanaimo BC) for years- slow now as you can see............

Except that they are restoring some of these beauties for the show circuit!

Sure you are right about "Vancouver Island, BC, Logging as it's best." Hope to see more pictures of Hayes logging trucks - But! I don't mind you are using my pictures but please ask for my permission. Saunders has been very slow for the last 5-10 years. The industy has been very slow and most of the heavy equipment are parked all around the Island. It's a shame. Kim

I have in fact used other peoples pictures here and will be more careful in the future. I apologize to those involved, and will not supplement my pics with thiers in the future. Sorry Kim, your pics are great- a Hayes thread would be a huge hit on this site. They are as much equipment as they are truck after all, eh?

Tyee K-166A

120ft. telescoping tower, manufactured by Tyee Machinery Works, in Vancouver, BC. One of the best yarders ever made, yet they are almost unknown.
