The copper mirror holders are what direct the light to the lens below

The square one is moveable via a servo

The masking tape on that lens is temporary target for adjusting the mirrors
Set laser for a millisecond and burn a hole in it.
The laser is invisible so if you waved your hand in front of it. ...
You may not be able to count to ten!
The lens lasts a long time. ...but a bit spendy.
