why a cat excavator 320B loose engine oil pressure it reaches 40 then drops to 15

I'd tear the oil pump apart. If I remember right those things have a Mitsubishi engine in them.

Did it have any issues before this? Using oil or excessive smoking?

3116 CAT or 3066 Mitsi, could be either I think?
