Will be purchasing terex / finlay 883 and looking for pros and cons of metal feeder belt vs rubber belt.
machine will process 20k+ yds a year. 70% of that being loam, 30% sandy gravel.

any feedback on this machine, or similar setups with metal belts would be appreciated.

The metal belt will not tear, and will not slip on the head pulley, nor will it track off to the side. That is the advantages. For the downside, it is more expensive, and more work to repair. For your material, it seems like overkill, but with the tonnage you talk of, it should last many years.
