Symptom:

Possible causes:

Action

Carry out the following Tech Tool operation:

25433-3 Fuel system exhaust aftertreatment, bleeding

Check the fuel pressure

Exhaust aftertreatment system, specifications

Check if the fuel lines are clogged or broken.

Check T-junction

Control measure component and wire harness, see

SE2523, description and measuring

SE2524, description and measuring


Fault mode


FMI 0

Detection conditions:The Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM) registers: that the sensor value is not plausible, compare to other sensor value.

Carry out the following Tech Tool operation: 28407-3 Sensor values, monitoring

Compare the sensor values.

Observe the aftertreatment fuel pressure

Fuel pressure sensor after MV1

Fuel pressure sensor after MV2

Check for fuel leaks.

Thank you for the info! Where did you find it? I have the service manual on this machine and it does not have any aftetreatment info in it...Is there a seperate manual?

I'm sure that came straight outta prosis. Odds are your burner is cracked internally. It's registering that the temp is not increasing based on the fuel delivery. We would first replace burner temp sensor. Initiate a Regen, and observe temps. If the value is still off with a new sensor, you're probably looking at a burner.
Either way, you're gonna have to call flagler out , because you can't do any of this correctly without techtool. Good luck.
BTW, before you get charged for a burner, ask for special warranty consideration. They know there's a problem and extended coverage. Also have the tech update your software. 273-0 is an old code that has been further broke down to better troubleshoot .
Software first.
Temp sensor second
Burner third.
The odds of a failed MV1 or MV2 are extremely low. You'd have engine performance issues first.

As stated by FwF. Make sure the software has been updated. There are improved diagnostic capabilities included in the newer versions of software. If there are other codes in conjunction with this code they need to be dealt with first. It is very unlikely it is a burner sensor or one of the DOC temp sensors but it is possible a DOC temp sensor could be reading incorrectly. Too often temp sensors are replaced when they are not faulty. If there are no other codes present then most likely it is a plugged line, Tee fitting or hydrocarbon injector in the burner. Odds are the burner is plugged.
As I stated act on the other codes first. This could be something as simple as restricted fuel filters or low fuel pressure. It could also be EGR or DOC related problems causing it.
Unfortunately it is usually best to let trained personnel work on these problems. The labor savings alone can pay for the lost downtime.
