Hello, I am fairly new to the forum to post hence have been a silent reader for some time now and i have to say it is one of the best machinery forums i encountered so far. Based in Australia, western part of it i managed to acquire an old Case 680G backhoe to help around on the semi rural property. It is an old machine and by the looks of it not the most common one in here or actually anywhere in the world. Since i have not had any of that kind of machinery before it makes me totally green in this but i am keen to learn and keep the thing as a weekender project. Perhaps that is all in here and i think i will open another thread in earth moving equipment section to talk more about it, thanks.
regards,

Welcome squad_1881. Lots of posts about Case TLBs on the forum. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Just try to make your post title a bit descriptive and you will get the best response as there is far to many posts each day to read them all. What is semi rural to a western Austrailian, 500 kilometers from town?:D:D:D

Thank you for the welcoming messages and heads up, so far old machinery looks the way to go for me, relatively simple thing with lots of solid steel and mere basic electrical setup, hence i know things can still go wrong in there lol. The semi rural might not be the most acurate description, i think lifestyle bush block sounds more acurate though, it is a 10 acre property 50km from city centre of Perth and the backhoe should help to build a new residence and later on just to maintain the property in there.

The backhoe would be handy if you wanted to dig some of those grass trees out...maybe earn a little pocket money.
