I have a DH170 sn 0082 with the sn plate on the cab door. Should the sn be stamped on the frame some where?

There are no requirements for a serial number to be stamped anywhere on the machine. Some manufacturers do stamp a number on the bottom plate of the house in between the lift cylinders.
