d6xl help!!!

So I'm working on a d6 xl and the operator tells me it just shut off as if he had turned the key off and now won't restart. It turns over fine just won't fire. I don't have any way to scan it so I'm have to do it the old school way. Has anyone run into this be for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would start with checking to making sure it had fuel, filters were full, and the fuel shutoff solenoid

What is the serial number of the machine. Does it have a 3116 mechanical engine?
