CAT 955 H purchase suggestion

Hi Guys. Is it worth to buy this track loader 955 H for 2857 USD ? Dont know the year. What to look out for ? Loosen tracks problem that can be fixed with grease pump or ? Track shoes expensive ? Many thanks in advance.

Loose tracks could be indicative of hyd track adjusters leaking.......not very expensive to fix usually.

You should only post on one forum. To restore a machine like that, you better have deep pockets. It looks like it hasn't moved in decades.

With the rails looking as they do someone has abused this Zagreb machine sincerely. That is looking more like rails, sprockets, rollers, full undercarriage just to make it functional. It is a money pit at this point and may not be worth scrap price even if does run.

Are you sure this is a h model? All the ones I have seen look like Shimmy1's with an angled hood.the op's machine has a flat hood

Does appear to be a H. Some kind of scabbed on cab where the hood is changed. The Air intake and exhaust look to be rather excessively tall and the hood from the left side does not seem to fit any better than the cab.
