Possible (fuel solenoid?) is there a easy way to determine problem? have power to solenoid. How difficult is it to remove solenoid?

Case 1845c cranks but won't start

Several injection pumps were on that machine.. IF the sol. is external, just remove it..

+1 to remove solenoid if its external.
Make sure your on the right part, the solenoid can be in a awkward spot almost under the pump. You can verify this at the parts catalog

First question I would have is there any smoke coming out the exhaust while cranking?
Next question if no smoke is there fuel in the tank.
Then, when was the last time it ran?
We had an 1845C that about once or twice a year would not start all it took was to crack the drain valve open on the fuel filter to let pressure off then it would start and run fine for several months. Boss always expected this machine was going to be replaced "soon" this went on for several years and last I knew was still being used daily! Think the first time it did that was about eight years ago!
