What don't you like about your pictures? If you think they are not sharp enough you may need to upgrade your camera. Whatever, put on plenty of pics,I will enjoy looking at them.:)

bean counters at this company say its cheaper to do this every year, because of not pay greasing time to the (drivers) as operators cost to much.

A couple Dollars/Euros, what ever, for a few tubes of grease and 1/2 hour a day to use it is to too much? Then you don't charge enough for your line bore work! But don't tell them or they might get smart and then you're out of a job!

They argument is as they in waste transfer station they can scrape the barrel on the drivers. As they never leave building in most case one spot all day. Health and Safety say they don't need all the cards and in-house is enough.

Trouble is Liebherr supplied them with all new waste handlers about 12 to 18 months ago, line boring coved in the maintenance contract which came with the machines. Never mind can only hope will get some of the work back once contract is up.

Found out why some picture quality is not very good on some pictures, they were taken on my old blackberry phone,

And the finished welded, made two passes with weld as bore had about 3 mm ovalality. And the finished bore.

I am using Elsa one of the Italian made made machines. Reason for this is the agent in the UK, was the only one that was prepared to come and demo the that I migth be buying.

Set up using the equipment they supply can be a pain but for some jobs you have to use it. I have a set of alignment cones made which take me from 42 mm up to 120 mm. Same as what York and Climax do.

Not seen the other two in the flesh so can't compare them. But where the job requires it i can get to 2 thou with a fiddle. Generally get .05 to .1 big for pins and .05 to .1 for jacking bushes not had any real problems tolerances.

Few niggles with machine when new that were sorted out quite quickly. If I was going to get another would look to get a York next I think Cilmax if I had the money, only problem is the weight of the machine when setting up.

To change to welding lance all i do is undo collects on the back slide out boring bar, slide lance in do up, flick lever to the welding setting dial in feed rate on push/pull and start welding. And not forgetting to rotation motor into neutral. Then your ready to weld.

Here the biggest machine I have worked on to date. Komatus WA1200.image.jpg, image.jpg, image.jpg

As we can see bores were pretty well worn.
