2008 580 super m powershift

The tractor dont shift on 3 and 4 ...run on 1 and 2 gear ....i try to figure out the trouble and how to get the code on the dash display ...thnx appreciated

Look under the plate on your shift lever should be lights. far right light S or 8 is green it is your
speed sensor with rpm sensor loss will only shift 1st and 2nd

No ....just a normal shifter that u turn for gear 1 to 4 ....look to be the speed sensor ...anyone find a better deal than 900$ for the sensor ???

Yes they all relate to the same part, you have a mix of CNH & New Holland numbers. (Not sure on 8100228)
CNH 380004A1 now subs to 87611747
NH 85817029 now subs to 87611747
Originally you could purchase just the speed sensor & you would have to fit it to the original wiring input plug for the control valve.
Just guessing, but now you probably purchase the complete control valve loom, including the speed sensor main input plug & connectors for all control solenoids.
Hence the big price difference........

Suplier sell the sensor for 138$ but u need to buy the sensor from a dealer at 800$ thats really sucks

Anyone know where i can get the wiring diagram for speed sensor ?? Just wanna make sure i doesnt have a broken wired

Get on line and either use bing or google there is some good info out there, you can even try youtube. But you might try your local dealer they may give you the info you need.

Item 41 is the sensor & the pic is of it in the valve - with valve removed.

If you look VERY closely at the pins at the plug at the control valve (X35) - each pin has an identifying letter next to it.
This is what each pin controls.

Here is the schematic for a 580SM ser 1 - I don't have anything later
130 is the plug at the control valve
129 is the plug at the control module
