It's a standard truck crane mounted to the exc.
Takes hydraulic power from the exc.
I see the 315B got a generator or compressor under the original battery compartment driven by hydraulics.
I bet its a compressor, real nice when mounting a lot of bolts.
On the Kobelco, he's got the crane radiocontrolled.
Todays regulations demand a radiocontroll to be in the lift. There has been a lot of accidents with baskets.
Real strict regulations now. Radiocontroll, emergency switch, escape rope, harness connected to the basket, low lifting capasity/high security limit.
You may have 400 pounds in the basket, while the crane lifts 1000 pounds on that reach.

No Hallingmast is a smal firm.
They got 10-15 machines/trucks.
They have specialised in mounting, refurbishing and dismounting big powerlines in tough terrain.
A niche company with very special equipment....

Correct me if I'm wrong, the axles on some of those trailers are actually drive axles driven off the PTO shaft. I used to have a lot of pictures of those trailers. One was a water 5000 gal. water tank that had 6 drive axles. It had a large Fendt tractor pulling it.

No extra drive on the axles of the trailers from the PTO.
Only need a tractor with a big engine and you are set to go.
When you are 16 years old you can get a license for tractor.
Cars are 18 and trucks are 21.

Thats interesting. I grew up in Idaho and you get a daylight only drivers license when your 14. It goes unlimited when you turn 18.
I've never heard of such a thing but it sure got me thinking about the gearing. The PTO runs off the engine speed. I suppose they could gear it to match in first gear so if you were stuck, kick in the PTO and push yourself out. Id probably start catching gears and leave little parts all over the highway, again!!!!!!!!!
